Like many Instagram marketing features, the links that can be clicked on the stories were first displayed in the verified accounts. In May of 2017, however, Instagram began to silently expand this feature to more vendors on the platform.
Story links with clicks are now also available for business profiles (not personal profiles) that have more than 10,000 followers on Instagram. If you do not have that many followers yet, do not worry, we leave you with this great trick so that you can gain quality followers.
There seems to be no geographic restriction to clickable story links, and as the feature gains in popularity and usage, we can expect Instagram to continue to launch this feature to more users.
Adding a Link in your Instagram Story is easy to do in just a few quick steps!
Open your Instagram Story
You can take a picture or video directly within the Instagram Stories application or scroll through the Story screen to import any image taken in the last 24 hours.
Add link URL
To add your link, click on the link icon of the chain at the top of your screen. You must click on it to add a URL.
A new window will appear on your screen, which will allow you enter the destination of the link of your choice. Enter the full URL and tap on the green check mark (on Android) or “Ready” (on iOS) to save the link.
The URL page will allow you to write the link of any web page you wish to send to your audience.
The Instagram Story Monitor does not currently track URL clicks, so to measure traffic and conversions. Can use a link to which you can track separately. It’s the only way you have to monitor the links to your Instagram Story. Once you have successfully linked a URL to your story, the link icon in the string will be highlighted to indicate that your story has a link.

Continue editing your story
Add any other content including text, emoticons and filters to your story, and then upload it to your profile as you would any other story.
I recommend that you include a call to action (CTA) in the Banner 2text of the story to direct your viewers to access
the link. Common CTAs include “Swipe to see more” or “Touch”, it also works “to visit our website.”
How can your followers see a Link to your Instagram Story?
When Instagram people see one of the publications in your story that includes a link. You will see the option See more at the bottom of the screen.
While the message See more is clearly seen. Some viewers may not notice it if they do not look for it. The less frequent Instagram users may not even know how to search for it. So it is prudent to include a Call to Action as shown in the previous figure.
